Gourmedi is based in the Algarve – a few kilometres from the Spanish border, between the markets of two countries with some of Europe's richest food traditions. What is taken for granted here – the right smoked paprika, the familiar biscuit with your coffee, saffron for the Sunday paella – is hard to find elsewhere.

Brands with history
We only stock originals: Gullón has been baking biscuits in Castile since 1892. Carmencita has stood for Spanish spices since 1920. El Avión brings paprika and paella seasoning the way Spanish kitchens use them. And Renova from Portugal proves that even everyday household products can have charm.
